Is there anything Jason Schwartzman can’t do? The man is a great actor, a great drummer, and somehow a great songwriter to boot. After leaving my presonal favorites Phantom Planet, he went on to create music under the Coconut Records moniker.
This song is the single from his first album, Nighttiming. It screams “California,” with harmonies, sun-drenched soul, and a catchy-as-heck chorus. The song’s an immediate classic and reminds me completely of Telekinesis. Wow, they would make a great touring team. Anyway, enjoy the song!
